The BPW owns and operates the wastewater collection infrastructure and the Howard Seymour Reclamation treatment facility (WWTF). The BPW hires a contractor to operate and maintain the WWTF under BPW oversight.
With the help of Inframark, contractor/operator, we are dedicated to enhancing public health and environmental quality by delivering reliable and effective wastewater management solutions, that meet or exceed mandated treatment requirements, and by continuously improving our processes to serve the community better. Our mission is to safeguard public health and strive for operational excellence and sustainability.
The BPW went through a thorough and meticulous vetting process to ensure the contractor/operator of the WWTF met the highest standards of quality, reliability, and expertise for a specific project. This selection is based on several key criteria designed to ensure that the contractor is well-suited to meet the BPW’s requirements and to deliver exceptional results. Inframark was chosen for their outstanding qualifications, proven track record, and commitment to excellence.

Wastewater Treatment Facility Long-Range Planning
Given the current facility’s low elevation, the BPW is exploring ways to mitigate the effects of sea level rise and flood or storm events, including the possibility of relocating the facility through Long-Range Planning.
