ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE:
At the annual election for Directors of the Board, qualifications for voters shall be as follows;
– Resident: Every person, male or female, who is a bona fide citizen of the United States and of the State of Delaware and a bona fide resident of the City or on the public lands under the jurisdiction of the City for at least (30) days next preceding the date of the Annual Election; or
– Nonresident freeholder or leaseholder: Every person, male or female, who is a bona fide citizen of the United States and who is a freeholder or leaseholder for at least thirty (30) days immediately preceding the date of the Annual Election; and
– Other: Every person, male or female, who is a bona fide citizen of the United States and who is a customer of any available utility of the Board of Public Works for at least thirty (30) days immediately preceding the date of the Annual Election; and
– At least eighteen (18) years of age on the date of the annual election.
The last day for VOTER REGISTRATION will be Friday April 28, 2023, until 4:30 p.m.

Absentee ballots will be available to registered voters no earlier than 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, and no later than 12:00 noon May 12, 2023, and must be completed & returned no later than 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023. To request an absentee ballot click here
